So, because i'm desperately trying to avoid doing French, and because i'm too lazy to think of my own thing, i'm going to copy Ashleigh.

And make an annotated list of Songs I Have Been Loving Recently. Also because I have discovered some incredibly good music recently.

The Devlins - The World Outside
From Kasia. The lyrics are excellent. Especially when he goes 'say you desire, desire me now'. Except for some reason it's a song that makes me feel melancholy, which is nice sometimes, but not when it's a beautiful day outside, and summer holidays are just around the corner.

Bloc Party - So Here We Are
Oh the guitars. That is all. The endless repetition of the riff is so cool underneath the sound of his voice.

Foo Fighters - DOA
I think this is one of their best tracks. There's probably some die-hard Foo Fighters fan out there who'll squeal about how their new stuff is like, sooo not as good as the old stuff or something, but this song is rad. The lyrics, and Dave Grohl rocks my socks.

Wolfmother - Minds Eye
From Jack. This song sounds like a lot of stuff i've heard before, but I like it anyway. It's a bit like if Yes, Pink Floyd, and Led Zep all kind of melted together. In this song, in any case.

Jamison Young - How Far
From Jack. Words cannot describe how much I love this song at the moment. Except it's another melancholy song, and too many of those make me sad.

Weezer - Smile
'The way you wanna wrap me up, inside your smile' ..Now if those aren't the most adorable lyrics in the world, i'll eat my hat. Weezer are so adorable also, and this is an adorable song.

Queens of the Stone Age - You've Got A Killer Scene There, Man
From Jack. As he said, this band (but particularly this song) is sex. And cigarettes, and bourbon. I do think some Queens songs are a bit too weird, but I likes this one.

Bright Eyes - A Perfect Sonnet

It's so very tourtured sounding, but I like the sound of the guy's voice.

Air - Cherry Blossom Girl
This song is just cute. And beautiful. The lyrics are incredibly cool, and the song sounds kind of like autumn rain. Okay, it totally does. if autumn rain was a song, this song would be it.

Foo Fighters - MIA
More Dave Grohl rockness of the sockness. This song has a rad tune. And he sings you won't find me i'm going MIA, tonight i'm leaving going MIA, getting lost in you again is better than being alone. At least that's what I think he sings, but it's cool.

Marcy Playground - Coming Up From Behind
From Jack. I love the lyrics, though I think it would be far cooler if he sang she's an h-bomb instead of she's an eight-ball

Third Eye Blind - Never Let You Go
From Kasia: This is an awesome happy song.

Deathcab For Cutie - The Sound of Settling
Another awesome happy song. And Deathcab are adorable.

The Cure - Lovecats
Um clearly this is the greatest song ever. It's so cool. And floaty and happy. When he goes Let's go and throw all the songs we know, into the sea, you and me, all the years that no-one heard, I'll show you in spring, it's a treacherous thing.. Then he goes We should have each other for tea, we should have each other with cream. Clearly it's cool. Plus it's a happy song by The Cure, and those are pretty hard to come by.

Weezer - The World Has Turned And Left Me
From Jack. I heart Weezer. And this song makes me terribly sad, but I love this song. It's just so horribly forlorn.

Pink Floyd - Wearing The Inside Out
There are far too many Pink Floyd songs I love, but this one is a current favourite. Except it's also a bit sad and forlorn. But he sings, and then there's the chorus behind him, and I know they do that in like every single song on that album, but I think it sounds awes.

Pink Floyd - Have A Cigar
The lyrics. Oh the lyrics. Seriously. Awesome. 'Come in here dear boy, have a cigar, you're gonna go far, you're gonna fly high, you're never gonna die they're gonna love you' And the whole payout of the music industry, and just everything, this song is SO COOL.

Um and i'm bored now, but i've finished French. Whee! I'm so DELICIOUSLY ORGANISED. But we don't speak about how I'M GOING TO FAIL MACRO ON MONDAY. Because that would mean I wasn't Deliciously Organised. Today was fun. I went to the library with Pearl, and got very little done. Met up with Ash, Alex, and Jack, and the five of us went and had lunch and looked at shoes. I think the boys got a bit more of an insight into women's shopping than they necessarily wanted. Nicolas was at the library as well, which was helpful, as I had a fluent french speaker sitting opposite me for all my french translation needs. Oh, and Ash-from-uni had two free Wolfmother tickies, which I missed out on, but it's probably a good thing as I would have done NO WORK TODAY.

Und das ist jawohl alles. Uhm, I can't wait for summer.
